Terms, refunds and privacy

Draft. Have it checked before the site goes live.

What you send us

You can only upload narration, scripts and clips that you made or have permission to use. You keep all rights to them. We use them only to make your edit and to answer your questions about it.

We don't edit content that harasses people, sexualizes minors, promotes violence or makes claims about real people that you know are false. We may refuse a job and refund it.

What we send you

An edited video and a credits list. Pictures come from public-domain and openly licensed sources such as Wikimedia Commons and museum open-access collections, and each picture keeps its own license. Keep the credits list in your video description. Some Creative Commons licenses (BY-SA) ask you to release your video under the same license, and we mark those pictures in the list.

We check each license as the source lists it. If a rights holder objects to a picture, tell us and we'll replace it and re-render at no charge.

YouTube

We don't control YouTube. We can't promise monetization, views, or that a video won't be flagged or claimed.

Beta

Cutaway is in beta. We aim to send drafts within 24 hours, but that isn't guaranteed.

Payments and cancelling

Subscriptions are billed monthly by Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the customer portal link in your receipt, and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. The founding price of $29 a month stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active.
